Takoma Park Cooperative Nursery School is an outdoor school committed to building community in our walkable neighborhood, committed to shaping an inclusive community, and committed to creating equitable access to nature. As a school, we walk toward anti-racism, compassion, intentionality, honesty, and creating an environment where individuals of all identities and abilities can thrive. Our ongoing work is to strengthen these commitments and improve our local community.

We view this work through the lenses of family involvement, partnership with parents, community outreach, ensuring access to nature for all children, and learning together to become the community we want to be.

Enrollment at Takoma Park Cooperative Nursery School is open to any child, ages 2 turning 3 through 5.

Admission the school is open to all as we welcome families of children living within the school's neighborhood boundaries and families of historically marginalized communities in outdoor spaces including families of diverse socioeconomic statuses, black and brown families, and families with individuals in the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Please contact the admissions team if you would like more information.

Tuition assistance may be available through the School’s own Ripple Tuition Assistance Fund, and the Montgomery County’s Working Parents Assistance Program.
