Teresa Jiménez (pronouns: she/her) is the teacher for the twos/threes (Seeds class). Teresa is a musician and teacher and has over 20 years experience in education and caregiving. Her own children attended the Leaves and Tracks years. During that time, she served on the Admissions committee. All of this has given her a unique and grounded perspective on the School’s intentional teaching and parent involvement.

Working in play-based and nature-based classrooms, she’s seen first hand how play and time spent in nature support children’s growth and learning. These are indeed her favorite ways to approach teaching. As a teacher she values time spent in forming relationships with children and families, and being present and responsive each day with the classroom community.
