The Small Things That Loom Large
The children found two headless baby birds. What happened? Things are rough for birds out there. That it was a predator was certain, because the heads were gone. So that was the discussion. What did it? And should the pink beads go in the ground when it is buried? The facts, just the facts.
Treasure Found
So now all we had to do was figure out what it was. We studied it there, keeping an eye out for other clues in the area. Were there more bones, perhaps fur or feathers? One of the children voiced the question the discoverer wouldn't give voice to, "How did it die?"
Play Messages
Every afternoon for the last two weeks, the wall goes up in the Teahouse. Every morning the wall gets knocked down. "Hello? Anybody home?" Play is calling.
What We Know
It would be so lovely to move closer and hang on each word. We know that each word is like a jewel and this shared moment is cluster of diamonds. Their ideas have depth and insight, but mostly they have joy, and we can't even hear them!
Transformation
Walk towards challenges rather than away and there will be creative growth. That sounds so easy when written here, but we all know that living IN the friction is no easy task. It wears you down, it tires you out, and even worse, it distracts and detracts from seeing successes and observing that yellow spot transforming into the greater thing that is the Sun.
